MVNU Cheer Places Runner-up at Cougar Classic

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University competitive cheerleading team competed at Spring Arbor University's Cougar Classic on Saturday, February 15.  

MVNU competed in the three-team invite, placing second with a score of 71.80. Spring Arbor placed first with a total score of 72.25. Grace College also competed, but its score did not count towards the final results.

Coach Nowicki's Thoughts  

"We fought hard today in a very close competition. I was impressed by the team's fight for stunts and pyramids. I was also impressed with the upgraded tumbling that we added this week. Looking forward to seeing how we continue to improve throughout the rest of the season." 

 

What's Next 

MVNU will compete in Upland, Indiana at Taylor University for the Taylor Invite on March 7.
