Competitive Cheer Finishes Season at Crossroads League Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– The Mount Vernon Nazarene University competitive cheerleading team wrapped up the 2024 season at the Crossroads League Championship, hosted by Marian University on Saturday, March 9.

MVNU placed sixth in the event with a final score of 69.77. MVNU hit a prelim score of 71.67 and a placement score of 69.15. Indiana Wesleyan won the meet with a score of 87.95, and Marian was the runner-up with a total of 86.54.

Coach Nowicki's Thoughts:

"This has been a season of so much growth for such a young team. Even though more than half of the athletes on the mat today were freshmen, we were still able to complete our most difficult pyramid and most difficult stunt group in program history. This team has fought hard for new skills, battled through injuries and routine changes, and never gave up. I'm very excited for what's ahead for competitive cheer at MVNU!"
