MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University cheer team competed at the MVNU Invitational on February 2. The Cougars placed first in its home competition inside of Ariel Arena.

MVNU Invitational Team Scores:

  1. MVNU – 75.8
  2. Point Park – 65.4

Coach Nowicki's Thoughts:

"I am so proud of this team! They pushed hard all week to make improvements and hit the best routine we could tonight. Every part of our routine has either increased in difficulty or we were able to execute it better than in earlier competitions. Tonight's score is our second highest score in program history! I am excited to see how we will continue to improve in the second half of our season."
