MVNU Baseball Earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – Along with achieving success on the field, the Mount Vernon Nazarene University baseball team achieved success in the classroom in 2024-25.

The American Baseball Coaches Association announced its 2024-25 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award Winners, and MVNU was selected. The Cougars were one of just 37 NAIA schools in the country to earn the Academic Excellence Award. It is now the seventh straight year MVNU has claimed the honor.

This award recognizes ABCA member teams from all levels of high school and collegiate baseball that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2024-25 academic year.
