Bertke Named Crossroads League Pitcher of the Week

JACKSON, Mich. —  For the second consecutive week, the Mount Vernon Nazarene University baseball team has a pitcher named as the Crossroads League Pitcher of the Week.

Jarin Bertke takes home the honor this time after a fantastic outing on senior day against the Huntington University Foresters. The righty from Cridersville, Ohio, allowed just three hits and one unearned run in MVNU's 14-1 win. Bertke added nine strikeouts.

Bertke and MVNU baseball begin postseason play on April 30-May 5 in the Crossroads League Baseball Tournament, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.
